This study investigates the competencies required by the Romanian labor market and identifies potential gaps between employers&#8217; expectations and the skills possessed by the workforce. Using empirical evidence derived from survey data and secondary statistical sources, the paper examines the relative importance of technical, digital, cognitive, and socio-emotional competencies.
