For countries such as Romania, members of the EU, but highly dependent on intra-EU trade, the agreement may generate new opportunities for businesses and markets, but it will also generate risks in certain sectors where  Mercosur countries have cost advantages resulting from various more favourable local conditions. The analysis of the<br \/>\neconomic impact of the EU-Mercosur agreement on the Romanian economy shows an insignificant influence on the  gross domestic product, including the indirect impact of the value-added chains in which the Romanian industry is<br \/>\nactive.
