With the help of panel data modelling and secondary data provided by reliable regional and international bodies, we showed that government revenue, government expenditure and gross domestic product per capita were significantly impacted by macroeconomic indicators related to institutional quality, namely: government effectiveness; political stability and absence of violence\/terrorism; regulatory quality; voice and accountability.
